* Promote high standards of planning and architecture in the area of benefit.

Spring is in the air and once again our minds turn to all things outdoors!
Heston seems to be getting a bit of a spruce up in the form of a new road layout. We have newly laid roads and despite my misgivings about the lack of proper paving on the newly widened footpaths as befitting a conservation area the improvements give the area a much needed boost.
Given this much needed investment, thanks to the Transport for London, wouldn't it be nice to see a little less litter on our streets and a fewer 4 foot high weeds around the base of trees on the roads approaching Heston. Some weed control in the vicinity of the war memorial wouldn't go amiss either!
Friends of Heston Village Conservation are looking for volunteers to help make Heston a cleaner and nicer environment for all to enjoy.
