We've had a spate of anonymous and suspicious bad reviews for a restaurant on here lately. Two of them were particularly nasty where the poster posed as the restaurant owner.

It should be known that each review submitted carries with it the IP address of whom wrote the review so a sudden deluge from the same IP address immediately appears suspicious.

This post should be heeded as warning to the person out there currently behaving in this way. We can block your IP address if it continues or even contact your Internet provider or employer to inform them of what we are observing.

We don't want to curb negative reviews, any business worth it's salt has to accept them as a way to improve their levels of service, especially in the reataurant trade.

However we won't tolerate attempts to defame businesses with what appear to be malicious lies and rumours.

If you've a personal problem with a business owner listed on this directory please resolve the matter between yourselves and not on here.

This warning is for those with malicious intent. We don't want users to stop reviewing, we just want legitimate reviews! Businesses need to know what they're doing right and more importantly what they're doing wrong.

Likewise, multiple positive reviews in quick succession from the same IP address will also be flagged as suspicious and will probably not be published.
