Two weeks ago my sister, her husband and I stayed at a delightful B&B near Finchcocks Musical Museum in Kent (just outside Tunbridge Wells).
We were attending my cousin's wedding and wanted somewhere to stay overnight. She found a place run by a woman called Judith Farnfield on the Interweb and booked two rooms. The double was £60 and "single" £40.
The B&B is in their delightful converted oast house at a place called Smugley Farm, which is 1 mile from Goudhurst village.
She provided a very warm welcome and gave us tea and biscuits on arrival. The rooms were very clean and tidy and the beds very comfortable. The bonus is the "single" is actually a small double so if you were a party of four you could still all be accomodated comfortably.
The great hospitality continued when her husband gave us a lift to the wedding at Finchcocks and arranged for a lift back afterwards.
Finally in the morning we were treated to a delightful full English breakfast with fruit & cereals.
All in all I can highly recommend this B&B to anyone visiting the area around Tunbridge Wells.
Oh yes, forgot to mention Judith and her husband used to live in Old Isleworth whilst he worked at British Airways. It's a small world!
