I don't think I need to say to much than how wonderful the Natural History Museum is, more so because it's free!

Word of advice, try and avoid obvious holiday dates. I last went on Good Friday and it was mobbed, which is to be expected.

My family and I made the short journey here back during the April "heatwave" and had a lovely afternoon walking in the woods, fields and paths.

The view from the top of Box Hill is wonderful and is worth taking a picnic with you to savour.

Parking was plentiful and easy and only costs £3 for the whole day (free if you are a National Trust member). If you don't bring any food there is a cafe that seemed to be very popular.

Just remember to bin your rubbish or take it home with you! I had to reprimand a man who thought it ok to leave his can of coke on the floor behind his car.

My wife and I took my daughter here on Easter Monday and we had a nice couple of hours watching and riding the miniature trains.

From this one visit I'd recommend getting there early to avoid the queues. We also only had a couple of goes, once on the ground level railway and once on the elevated and our daughter enjoyed both.

Two rides was also enough for us but if you want more it might be worth buying the unlimited rides or family ticket.

You can get there by train but it might be easier to drive, it's only the other side of Hampton Court. Parking is limited to the surrounding streets (another reason to get there at opening time), there is a cafe/toilets on site and nice picnic area to take some food and let the kids run about in.

Worth visiting this place.

I had been to a healing session before, elsewhere, and it wasn't a significant experience, though it didn't harm me, so, out of curiosity, I went along. Inside the church it is clean and pleasant, there is a calm atmosphere, and I immediately liked this place. There were two healers and they asked me to fill in a form (including my medical problems). When I had a session, I was told that healing would not completely remove the pain but would help to ease it. And it would be a good idea to continue for some time. I was open-minded so that was fine by me. The session was quite simple and similar to what I had done before. However it gave me profoundly relaxing effect over time - so when I walked out from the church, I felt pretty refreshed.

Perhaps "healing" is similar to giving "Chi" (energy force believed to be in your body) and through receiving "Chi", your own healing energy is empowered. It seems like the same principle as receiving "Chi" from a Qui-gong master in a therapeutic session. Definitely it is worth visiting

Any ideas how to get it back?

Maybe we Hounslow residents could set out some bait to entice "civic pride & community spirit" to come back...

1. Forming a REAL COMMUNITY: Try to get more organizations to join this "online" community - when we get together online, then maybe we'll be more willing to get together in the real world?

2. Celebrate what we have in COMMON: Ethnic groups have annual festivals in Lampton Park - the Filipino community, for instance, even have 2 popular events in the summer that draws Filipinos & even non-Filipinos from around the country to Hounslow. Why can't Hounslow come up with their own unique - and maybe multicultural event - that could draw people from around the city?

3. CLEANING up our act: To be honest, it's hard to have pride in where you live if the main parts of town look like a dump! The Blenheim Centre area looks like a promise of how clean & modern Hounslow could be. However, High Street and the areas around the Tube & Bus Station always look messy, dirty, crowded and poorly planned. Hounslow needs a major makeover, but how do we go about it?

John provides a great service for any electrical work that you may need doing in your house (or business). He helped me out quickly with a lighting problem in my bathroom that was affecting all the lights in my house.

Have no hesitation in recommending to others.

I took my 11 year old to see the Percy Jackson movie here on the last day of half-term and agree with your comments. You can bypass the foyer queues by booking online and collecting tickets from the machines in the foyer - your card isn't charged until you collect the tickets. Try to smuggle in drinks if you need them - £2.00 for 330ml of water is a bit steep!

As multiplexes go this is much the same as any other around the country but I often choose to go to Feltham Cineworld because their popcorn tastes the best (freshly made on site). A strange reason I know but hey ho!

The downside is the foyer gets very cramped when busy and the concession queues are too long but seats are comfy enough and there's plenty of legroom for someone 6ft 1in in height.

I took the whole family for the special Sri Lankan buffet which is available on Sundays from 1pm, a huge range of Sri Lankan dishes with hoppers (like spongy dosas) cooked to order. Everything was very tasty and fresh. At £8.99 for adults it's slightly more expensive than some of the offer buffets available in Hounslow but the quality of the food is high and there's a wide variety. It's nice to be able to get Sri Lankan food in Hounslow at last, I used to go to Palm Palace in Southall.
